1.0 out of 5 stars save your money!, August 3, 2010

I ordered this product to fit the Alps Mountaineering 4-person tent, which has a thin floor -- but the "floor saver" is made of even thinner fabric and isn't waterproof. It looks as though they had an excess of useless material and decided to find a way to market it. A true waste of money -- you'd be much better off with a "money saver/floor saver" tarp for $10. The tent is okay so far -- have only used it in the past week -- but this is very disappointing and discourages us from ordering from this company again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not like the picture, July 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I bought this for my ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 3-Person tent, which is what this footprint is supposed to be. The package shows it as a genuine ALPS product, and the fabric and stitching colors match the tent; however, the tent is not a rectangle, but the footprint is.

It worked fine as a footprint, but there is not an easy way to attach it to the tent, nor are there grommets for stakes, and the different shape leaves extra fabric showing at the foot-end of the tent.

The picture is the correct shape, but the product doesn't match the picture.

3-star rating because it is lightweight, fits in the tent stuff sack, and kept my tent floor dry even after setting up in a wet mountain meadow. Just wish it was the same shape.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pricy and not especially worth the money, May 1, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I have used this footprint twice. It works but was pretty expensive for what it does and how it fits under the tent. I would have done as well with a small tarp from the hardware store for 1/3 the price but it packs up nice and looks professional when you remove it from its little stuff sack and spread it on the ground in preparation for erecting your tent. I wouldn't buy it again if given the opportunity.
